Salamanders in the Texas panhandle! Who would have thought? Oh yes, and
big too.
Well this page is heavily under construction! Since I know next to nothing
about these little guys, or should i say big guys
I do know that they eat very well, their cute, and they hang out in
water meters.
I have caught three more Tiger Salamanders now! Two of my friends have
two and they are doing good. I have the newest one and Neptune. I found
Neptune along with two others (at different times) in the same water meter
behind my old apartment complex in Texas!
Everyone agrees these Salamanders are something else!
My two Tiger Salamanders are housed in a ten gallon aquarium. Half
is covered in moss and the otherside has natural color fish aquarium gravel.
In the gravel area there is a tupper ware dish full of water, for a water
/ louging dish. Then an six inch plate that goes on the bottom of a plant
holder turn upside down with a two inch piece cut out for an entryway.
I mist thier enclosure every other day. I feed them about every three days
a mixture of predead crickets covered in vitaims, that every growing salamander
needs, and live crickets. On occassion i feed them a meal worm or grasshoper
for variety
